Studio Policies & Etiquette

At ALARTINK STUDIOS, every detail is designed to provide a professional, comfortable, and high-quality experience from your first consultation to the final result. To ensure the best possible outcome for your tattoo, please take a moment to review our studio guidelines and booking policies below. These standards help us maintain the highest level of safety, artistry, and client care.

Booking & Deposits

To secure any appointment at ALARTINK STUDIOS, a non-refundable deposit is required.

Purpose: Your deposit reserves your exclusive date and time and covers the preparation of your custom design.
Deduction: The deposit amount will be applied toward the final cost of your tattoo or eyebrow service on the day of your appointment.
Payment Methods: We accept e-Transfer, Debit, Cash, and Major Credit Cards (subject to a small processing fee). Due to higher transaction charges applied by credit card providers, a small additional fee will be added when paying with credit cards.
Important Note: Appointments are confirmed only once the deposit has been received.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

We understand that unexpected situations can arise. However, as a private, appointment-based studio, last-minute cancellations leave gaps in our schedule that cannot be filled. For this reason, we kindly ask all clients to respect the following policies:

Notice Period: A minimum of 7 days notice is required to reschedule your appointment. This allows us to adjust our schedule and offer the time slot to another client.
Late Cancellations & No-Shows: If you cancel with less than 72 hours’ notice, or fail to attend your appointment (“No-Show”), your deposit will be forfeited and a new deposit will be required to book a future appointment.
Rescheduling Policy: You may reschedule once using your existing deposit, provided the required notice is given. Additional rescheduling requests may require a new deposit.
All deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE

These policies help us maintain a fair schedule and ensure every client receives the highest level of attention, preparation, and service. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Arrival & Lateness

Punctuality: Please arrive on time for your appointment to ensure a smooth and relaxed experience. If you anticipate being late, kindly call or text us immediately so we can evaluate whether your session can still proceed.
Late Policy: If you arrive more than 15 minutes late without prior notice, your appointment may be cancelled and your deposit forfeited.
For significant delays, the artist will determine whether the session can continue: If the session proceeds, you may be charged for the missed time in addition to the time required to complete your tattoo. If the session cannot proceed due to the delay, the full deposit will be forfeited. This policy allows us to respect all clients’ scheduled time and maintain a professional workflow.
Guests: To preserve a calm, private, and high-end studio environment, we strongly recommend attending your appointment alone whenever possible. A maximum of one guest per client is permitted. This policy helps maintain exclusivity, comfort, and respect for other clients while ensuring you receive the highest level of attention during your session.

Health & Safety Standards

At ALARTINK STUDIOS, your safety and well-being are our top priorities. We strictly follow professional hygiene protocols and Alberta Health standards to ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable experience.

Sobriety Policy: We maintain a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding drugs and alcohol. If you arrive under the influence, your appointment will be cancelled and your deposit will be forfeited. Alcohol and substances can increase bleeding, affect skin performance, and negatively impact the healing process.
Preparation Guidelines: Please eat a substantial meal before your appointment and stay well-hydrated. Proper preparation helps prevent dizziness, stabilizes blood sugar levels, and allows you to better tolerate longer tattoo sessions.
Medical Conditions: For your safety, please inform us in advance of any: Medical conditions, allergies (especially latex or adhesives), or medications that may affect bleeding or healing. This allows us to provide the safest possible experience.

Age Requirement & Minors Policy

You must be 18 years of age or older with valid government-issued photo ID to receive a tattoo independently. Minors may only be tattooed under strict conditions:

A parent or legal guardian must be physically present.
Both the minor and the parent/guardian must present valid government-issued ID.
A special parental consent form must be completed and signed in studio prior to the procedure. No exceptions.

Design & Touch-Ups

At ALARTINK STUDIOS, every piece is treated as a custom work of art. Our goal is to ensure your tattoo heals beautifully and looks its best long-term.

Custom Designs: All realism and custom pieces are prepared in advance based on your consultation. Designs are typically reviewed on the day of your appointment, where minor adjustments can be made to ensure perfect placement, size, and flow with your anatomy. Major design changes requested at this stage may require rescheduling and a new deposit.
Touch-Up Policy: We stand behind the quality of our work and want your tattoo to heal perfectly.
Tattoo Touch-Ups: One complimentary touch-up session is included within 3 months of your initial appointment, provided that: You have followed all aftercare instructions; the tattoo has healed properly; and the touch-up is booked within the eligible timeframe. Touch-ups requested after the 3-month period will be charged at the standard studio rate.
Eyebrows: A "perfecting session" (touch-up) is usually required 6-8 weeks after the initial service (additional fee may apply depending on the package booked).
Note: Touch-ups required due to negligence (picking scabs, sun exposure, swimming) will be charged at the standard studio rate.

Client Responsibility & Negligence

Touch-ups needed due to improper aftercare or client negligence will not be complimentary. This includes, but is not limited to:

Picking, scratching, or removing scabs.
Excessive sun exposure or tanning during healing.
Swimming, soaking, or submerging the tattoo in water.
Saunas, steam rooms, or hot tubs.
Intense physical activity that causes excessive sweating.
Contact sports or friction on the tattooed area.
Failure to follow any aftercare instructions provided by the studio.
Any touch-ups required due to these circumstances will be charged at the standard studio rate.

BROW APPOINTMENT POLICIES

Booking & Deposits: A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your appointment. This deposit confirms your booking, reserves dedicated time exclusively for you, and will be applied toward your final service cost.
Cancellation & Rescheduling: We require at least 24 hours notice for any cancellations or appointment changes. Late cancellations or missed appointments will result in deposit forfeiture and possible restriction from future bookings.
Arrival Policy: Please arrive on time. Arrivals more than 10 minutes late may need to be rescheduled and your deposit will be forfeited if the appointment cannot proceed.
No-Show Policy: Clients who do not show up for their appointment without notice forfeit their deposit and may be declined for future bookings.
Refund Policy: All brow services are non-refundable, as results depend on individual skin type, aftercare, and lifestyle factors. However, client satisfaction and safety remain our top priority.
Communication: All appointment communication is handled via Direct Message (Instagram) or Email. Please ensure you respond promptly to maintain your booking.
Professional Courtesy: These policies are in place to respect the client’s time, the artist’s schedule, and the quality of the service experience.
Policy Acknowledgment: By booking an appointment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to ALMA BEAUTY STUDIO’s booking, cancellation, late arrival, and no-show policies.
